Bus Schedule
A complimentary shuttle service that connects all workshop locations is provided for all participants from September 1-3. The detailed shuttle schedule will be published closer to the workshop date and be available in the brochure. The stops for the shuttle are the following:
Airport Shuttles
Use the South and East Bay Shuttle (408) 559-9477. Tell them that you are going to a Stanford Conference. Public transportation is also an option. Bay Area Travel Guide .
Driving a Car
If you choose to drive, parking permits are available from the workshop registration table. As is typical for a college campus, parking is limited and you are highly encouraged to take the workshop shuttle.
Parking will be available at the on the TOP LEVEL only of PARKING STRUCUTRE 5. An IWSHM window sticker is required to park there. It covers all days and can be purchased for $15 at the registration desk or directly at the parking structure (Tuesday only). On Tuesday morning IWSHM staff volunteers will be at Parking Structure 5 and on the top level to sell permits. Volunteers will also be there to direct you to the free Marguerite C line shuttle stop right outside the parking structure, which can take you directly to the conference area if you do not wish to walk (refer to the parking map for more information). “A” parking permits will also be available for purchase for $15 per day. “A” parking spots are located all around campus and especially by the Oval (close to the workshop’s area).
Parking permits will be available at Early Registration on Monday, August 31 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in addition to at the registration desk in front of the Hewlett Building September 1-3. Purchasing parking permits there is encouraged. Please note that only cash and checks can be accepted. In addition to the conference registration table, parking permits can be purchased at the Parking & Transportation Services office at 340 Bonair Siding (open 7:30am - 5:00pm)
Finally, there are parking permit machines in the Tresidder lot, in front of the Cantor Art Center, at 401 Quarry Road - Psychiatry, behind Memorial Auditorium, and at the Track House that accept credit cards, cash or coins. The receipt should be placed on the car dashboard.
Parking tickets range from $45 for a permit violation to $345 for illegally parking in a disabled space. More information about parking on Stanford's campus, including maps, is located on the Parking & Transportation website.
